One evening, while polishing a sword, Malachai suggests Roland learn to juggle to distract the villagers from his infamous reputation.

     Roland decides to give it a try, fueled by the desire to prove that his skunk reputation wouldn't follow him everywhere. He sneaks into the forge and practices juggling, hoping to mask his infamous aroma. However, he accidentally throws an apple at Grimwald the Greedy, which causes a festive atmosphere. As the market erupts in applause, Roland realizes that laughter is the strongest weapon, even stronger than his father's swords.

     Encouraged by his acceptance, Roland decides to juggle his way into Guffaw's hearts. He returns to the forge every morning, practicing juggling and chasing the weight of expectations around him. Along the way, he faces perils such as flying apples, runaway bunnies, and unfortunate smells. One evening, Roland throws turnips, twirling and leaping, with his floppy hat flapping mischievously in the breeze.
